When tinting a cars window in California does the owner of the car have to be present?

How can I install a subwoofer if the car stereo does not have an output ?

I have a subwoofer and amplifier from my older car and would like to install them for my new car (Toyota Highlander). The CD stereo is the original stock, and I have already taken it out of the dashboard and checked what optional outputs it has on the back. It actually did not have a subwoofer output. When I asked car audio staff at Best Buy, he said that we can use a splitter (I am not sure if it is correct) and get the cable hooked up from the speakers on the door.

I know if I take my car to car audio shops, I can get it done fast. But I dnt want to leave my car for a few days because I need to drive it everyday. Have someone done this before ? Is there any website that instruct the installation or sell the splitter I have mentioned before ? Thank you, all!

Why does the majority of cars in USA have automatic transmissions while European cars have manual?

I wonder why the majority of cars in USA have automatic transmissions, while the majority in Europe have manual (driving with a “stick”).
Any historical or other explanations why it is like that?

Where can I find good information on the environmental impact of hybrid cars?

I got my son a really fast remote control car for christmas last year, he loved it wore it completely out. He’s to ypung for a gas powered remote car. I would like to get him another but, I’m not really sure what they mean by the scale if it doesn’t tell me the mph I’m not sure what to buy. Can anyone explain the scale? The one he got last year was a 1:10 scale but, they have sooo many scales which ones are fast?
