Steven asked:

I am a 19 year old boy. My parents are buying me my first car. It is a nice pre-owned car. How does the insurance for the car generally work? Is it required? I will be in college next year. Can they take care of my car insurance? How does it work? I heard that they can put my car under their insurance. Is this true? Please explain.

Dan M asked:

On cars with a single exhaust, I’ve noticed that the exhaust pipe seems to be on the opposite side from the gas cap. Is my impression correct? What is the reason? Thanks to all who respond.

RLP asked:

We are getting my son a car. We need to get one that is cool and has a good safety rating.
Siblings have a Grand Prix. Toyota Corolla Sport, and a Cadillac Catera.
He has no idea what he wants. That’s why I have asked the question! I would like him to get a small SUV but we haven’t looked yet. He is 15 1/2.
He has to buy the car (with our help) and we pay for everything after that until he graduates from college.
He has to pay for gas when he’s goofing around. We pay for him to drive to school.
thatmad lass – if we are in a good financial position and able help our children with cars and college we should be applauded – not condemned.
They are all going to college and they are all productive members of society paying their taxes so the slackers can get their welfare!
Like YOU…your last question about wanting the government to subsidize you to stay home with your kid. WE WORK FOR OUR MONEY HONEY!

Does a car’s interior also get hot because it’s essentially a big piece of metal/aluminum/yada that absorbs heat? With having window tints/sunshades in mind, what can i you do to cool the car down? Would some type of insulation under the carpet/roof help in rejecting heat entering?

Way back when, Bush said we’d completely switch to E-85?

Matt M asked:

So is there any date set?

What will happen to everyone that has non-flex-fuel cars?

Lawnmowers, and other small engines?

Will foreign car companies start making E-85 compatible engines?

What about older cars?

It seems like they’ve set an unattainable goal…what do you all think?
