I would say energy. Most of our problems stem from our addiction to and over-dependence on foreign oil. Just a small increase in average gas mileage of our cars would be equivalent to many ANWRs for instance.

Why the sudden negative press about Chinese products?

bombastic asked:

Lately, there have been numerous reports about tainted Chinese food products, toys, poorly built cars and now, lead laced Boy’s Scout medals. Do you believe this is something new or has this been going on for a long time but US authorities withheld the information from us? Or…Is this simply a means of keeping Americans from buying Chinese products so that they can buy US products instead? In other words, could this just be a backlash because US consumers are spending too much money on foreign products? How is it that everything is suddenly tainted?

Ex Air Force/Navy asked:

She drives an American car. Ar a stop light if she sees a driver with a foreign car she holds up a sign that says “Buy American”. She tries to shame the owners of foreign cars.
